Peter aims to raise clients’ awareness of their life situation so that clients can make more beneficial ‘choices’ in how they react to circumstances. Clients are also encouraged to take full responsibility for their life situation and to confront themselves head on to rise above victimhood and blame so as to become more empowered and motivated to create a richer life experience. Quite simply Peter’s philosophy is that ‘what you put into life you get back in direct proportion’.

Peter has experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, substance dependence, adult survivors of childhood abuse and trauma, domestic violence, personality and identity, sexuality issues, as well as with individuals who wish to achieve a more meaningful and purposeful life and develop their full potential.

Therapeutic evidence-based interventions utilised in Peter’s work include solution and strength based therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness techniques, among others. Peter includes the use of humour throughout much of his work where deemed appropriate, and encourages clients to purposefully engage in activities to produce laughter and joy – he declares one should live life, be happy, and to remember that love is what really matters!
